same thing was happening to mine. finally figured out that changing 24 bit to 16 solved it. Should be on the advanced tab.

after installed windows 7, i heard clicking noise on sound card. i tried 3 different sound card. it same problems.

they have same bug, windows 7 failed again. do not buy.

I have an external USB Sound Blaster. I started to hear a clicking noise after I setup my computer. I recently moved to a new place so I had changed my setup around a little bit. I noticed that my wirless router was causing the clicking noise. My router used to be in a separate room, but since the move I had it in the same room sitting right next to the Sound Blaster. Moving them apart resolved the problem.

I hope this will help someone before you start replacing things and sending things back.

if none of the above solutions worked. mute your line in. thats how i fixed my problem with it. because i also was getting interference sounds and a clicking sound. i have a usb mouse (dynex dx-cm12) and am using cheap headset. your line in picks up interference from power in the air when theres nothing plugged into it.

I have not experienced any clicks what so ever since windows 7 came out. last november.. and had no clicks on the beta either.
