Question Strange electrical noises from PSU ?

I have a nasty problem, i recently build a half decent pc suitable for gaming just not on ultra but i have left my old psu which failed and opened a can of pandora and <Mod Edit> but to the point. Half year ago when my old Chieftec died i bought SilentiumPC Vero L3 (they are named Endorfy now) which failed left me with no electricity and burnt smell in house but nothing failed thankfully. They replaced it with Chieftec TPS 700S (i wanted that <removed> Chieftec branded psu because of good previous one). I'm furious at myself for that , because it makes some strange electrical noises randomly (they are hard to record but hearable) it is like buzzing like a transformer or something. Today i brought my pc from service , they say everything is fine with it and i cannot RMA it.What should i do with it? Learn to live with it or just trash that damn psu if they don't want to RMA it and buy something decent? Help me please cause it is so infuriating this situation. I also remember Vero L3 making that same noise before it failed too. Maybe it is another problem and not the psu ?

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

When posting a thread of troubleshooting nature, it's customary to include your full system's specs. Please list the specs to your build like so:
CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:

You might want to invest in a reliably built, quality unit for your build...until you start spending on your entire build since it was fried due to a bad PSU. At the rate at which you're going, you're heading there sooner than later.

Where are you located? What is your budget for a PSU?

Cooler: SilentiumPC/Endorfy Spartan 5 Max
MB: MSI B560M Pro
Ram: 1 x 16gb Goodram IRDM , 1 x 8gb (unknown brand) both DDR4
Storage: 2 x ssd sata Goodram CX400 512gb and the other one i cannot recall a name but it has 1tb , 1x old WDC HDD 1tb
GPU: MSI GAMING X GTX 1070
PSU : Chieftec TPS 700s (source of the problem i think)

I am from Poland we use currency that is 1/4 of a usd basically, so budget is damn tight.

Checked your store and cheapest good quality unit, Tier A, would be Fractal Design Ion Gold 750W,
link: https://patrox.pl/p/1381/89439/frac...ar-czarny-zasilacze-obudowy-zasilacze-it.html

While the Cooler Master MWE Bronze V2 you linked is Tier B, it has high ripple issues on low load and also are prone to coil whine.
What about Cooler Master V750S ? I cannot find any info about would you reccommend it ? I found cheap occasion on another site https://allegro.pl/oferta/zasilacz-cooler-master-v750-750w-80-gold-act-pfc-12758857621 and generally speaking should i just do it like right now ,and get rid of that Chieftec or it can wait for some time?

It was Tier A unit, back in 2013 when it was released. But at current date, it is discontinued and i'd have hard time suggesting obsolete PSUs. Better get the Fractal Design unit i linked above.

Also checked the 2nd store and both, Corsair and Seasonic units, good ones, cost more than the Fractal Design unit from another store.

or it can wait for some time?
The longer you wait - the higher the chance of your Chieftec unit going belly up and killing your entire PC.

I see, so should i go for it like right now, is it very dangerous to keep that current psu? I also found this one Seasonic SSR-750FX should i go for it or that Cooler Master V750s cause financially wise Fractal Design one is out of the question.

Very much so.

I also found this one Seasonic SSR-750FX
Seasonic Focus 750, good PSU. However, never buy used PSU. No matter how good it is.

E.g from one of your stores, i did find Seasonic Focus 850 Platinum, but since it was used, i'm not going to suggest it. Used PSUs are as bad, or even worse, than brand new low quality PSUs, since you have 0 telling if they even work according to ATX PSU standard and what kind of abuse the PSU has seen thus far.

That Seasonic appearantly wasn't used ,it was placed on the store shelf pc as a "shop display". But if you say so i'am *removed by mod* apperantly cause i cannot buy anything decent now. Anyway thanks for the help i will try tu buy something good as soon as i can.
EDIT
I found Seasonic GM 650w in barely bearable price for me, will it suffice?

If it wasn't used per se, it should be fine.

However, display unit could get dust an all sorts of stuff into it + people handle it over the time as a prop (rattle around and what not). So, in that sense, i wouldn't buy it.
Ok what about that new GM Seasonic?

Seasonic Core GM-650 would do fine. While not as good as Focus series, for your build and especially considering your small budget, it seems to be the best option. Also, PSU has nice 7 years of warranty;
specs: https://seasonic.com/core-gm
I have to reopen this discussion because that Core GM Seasonic is out of stock permanently , i only can get Sesonic B12 BC 650 W from here https://allegro.pl/oferta/zasilacz-seasonic-b12-650w-80-plus-bronze-atx-14103650970 Should i go for this one or forget it ? I wanted also to ask is it possible that it was coil whine in that Chieftec and it is harmless?

Seasonic B12 or G12 GM are both equal in quality and in these specific circumstances, the absolute bare minimum i'd suggest.

Coil whine or not, Chieftec PSUs are still crap.

An article for you to read: https://www.thesundaily.my/archive/...wer-supply-unit-computer-updated-LTARCH461974
And answer me this, do you want to be another statistic, adding to that article?

Im going to say it as i always do ..
never half arse PSU's or CPU cooling they are the life blood of your PC ..

Still not sure why people dont see this !!

Its basic logic if your PSU is rubbish or under powered it can BLOW UP other components ..

for the sake of spending a bit extra on the over killed or higher quality PSU you can save yourself more money in the long run ..

And i always try to keep my CPU as cool as i can SFF / or smaller form factor can be a challenge .. hence im not 100% thrilled with my 280mm NZXT x63 on my 7800x3d in the jonsbo d31 case but if it maxed at 95c i would have thrown the whole idea out the window and gone back to the 420mm in the ceres 500 case !!

For most gamers, FPS matters the most. PSU is just a box to cheap out on, in favor of beefier GPU and in turn - more FPS. Then, there are those out there who want unicorn puke in their PC, thinking that (A)RGB LEDs give more FPS. I've seen plenty of fishbowl PCs with terrible thermals but as long as it is good to look at, who cares, right.

Most often that not, people take notice of PSU after it has killed their hardware. And even then, they are reluctant to spend extra 50 bucks on solid PSU over cheap PSU, despite them running easy 500+ bucks GPU in there.
As i see it, anyone who has money to buy 500+ bucks GPU, also has money to buy proper PSU. There is no excuse why to cheap out on PSU.

All right , all right i get it
although my GPU isn't 500+ usd it would still be nasty to lose a pc over atrocious psu failure, will get that Seasonic as soon as i can , i'am asking again because i don't want to replace junk with another junk. Besides i'am a rather poor pc gamer, i build my pc buying part after part few month apart sometimes.
