Hi - hoping some people might have some insight into how I can figure out whats happening?
Recently installed a new https://www.asus.com/Motherboards-Components/Graphics-Cards/Dual/DUAL-RTX3070-O8G and since doing so, been getting strange errors with the system. First things first- one of the chassis fan headers stopped responding. The rear exhaust fan is plugged into the header and spins on startup, but stops and won't spin again after Windows starts. It is no longer recognized in the BIOS. Second, I got a DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION BSOD, the first BSOD I've gotten in a very long time. I've had unexplained CPU spikes and freezes in Valorant, multiple seconds of PC completely frozen before it loads again. This was similar to what led to the DPC WATCHDOG VIOLATION BSOD, though I had a twitch stream up while remoting into my work when I was doing that. Also, I've had multiple incidents where the computer freezes up and my two monitors stop receiving signal for a second or two (they act like they are no longer receiving visual input) before coming back on. However, in-game performance seems fine when I did some benchmarks in 3D Mark and Shadow of the Tomb Raider and looked within range (especially since right now my system is CPU limited). I'm on latest Windows Update and latest Nvidia Drivers. Any idea on where I could start looking for the issue? Because I got this card from a friend who had gotten an extra due to a microcenter processing error, any warranty process would be a massive pain in the ass (and it might be a while before I even get a replacement!) I'm loathe to go through the effort of RMAing it so I'm hoping its not an issue with the card itself, but rather some kind of compatibility issue with my system. Let me know if I need to provide anything else to help diagnose it I'm pretty stumped!
