Hello Guru ,

I am new so please be nice and i am not very Tech savvy so take it slow on me pls

so here is my issue : I have a home media system with 22 TB Drives and recently one of my 2TB drive had issue and when pc restarted and before login prompt the pc went and fix the issue by deleting the files in question and after it was done it let me login

so this is 2TB which come down to 1.89 or 1.87 TB or something like that, had 755 GB space ready but now it show around 525 GB Free ?

Now that is not my issue my issue is that i had a folder named data and this folder was missing so by using easy US Backup software i will able to recover the entire data folder which is 845 GB and i moved it to a 3TB folder but my HHD that is in question still show 525 GB left

How can i remove the lost folder that only a backup software can see ???

I cant format this drive as i have so many important files in it i just want to delete the files that are talking the space and not showing up normaly on the drive

Please advise

Hello
that is not the problem i got the data back now the issue the drive size is not changing
because lost data still in it

Thanks

Move the rest of the data temporarilly and then quick format the partition and move then data back.

Please come up with some way to backup your data. Several times you have mentioned that this data is important and as such it should have multiple copies stored in multiple locations. What would you do if that drive had died instead of just corrupted?
