Depends on the file format.

WMV.... Google for SDP

RM..... Google for RM Recorder

MOV... set the option in QuickTime to store a copy in the Temporary Internet
Files so you can retrieve it later

SWF.... More difficult, the SWF file should end up in your Temporary
Internet Files but you'll need to find a SWF Decompiler to pull it apart.
