[citation][nom]tacoslave[/nom]They're probably offended he didnt bring a macbook pro. Most kids these days dont know shit about computers and it shows.[/citation]
Most people don't know shit about computers, and I would know as I sell them!

At least he wasn't trying to replace his mobile phone...

"I'm just gonna sent a quick message... DIT DIT DIT DIIIT DIT DIIIT DIT".

By the way, I'm a student at Georgia Tech and I can tell you without a doubt that that happened in a lecture hall in the Howey building just from watching the video.

Here's another video from a 2nd student sitting right behind him. You can hear more of the lecture prior to the "interruption" and the teacher can be heard clearer. You get to see the kid pack it up and leave class. lol

[citation][nom]megamanx00[/nom]But it's a crash proof word processor .Really though he wasn't even typing that fast so it may have just been better for him to write it down by hand.[/citation]
Crash proof, but not jam proof.

Next time someone tells me to 'GET A MAC' I might just reply by saying 'GET A TYPEWRITER'. IMO, they're a lot easier to use than MACs. If a MAC fouls up, there's only about 8 people on your entire campus that can figure out the problem (Good luck finding them). A typewriter is way easier to manage. Just insert paper, turn it on and type. Oh, and there's that carriage return that requires more manual labor.

The guy looked upset...Kinda sad.

lol good, and I do believe ppl have been kicked out of class for using a laptop, because it was to noise. Also he can't type as most have said. If someone that types at least 40 wpm would make a hell of a lot of noise. He didn't seem to be making all that much noise.

P.S. I made more noise then he did just typing this out. lol

This reminds me of I girl I knew in college who used to bring an old Brother Word Processor with built in printer and floppy drive to class...the thing weighed at least 10lbs and she used to complain about carrying it around...this was back in the 1980's before laptops became mainstream of course...the sad truth though, at the time, some of my classmates were envious of her and the fact that she could type her notes and save them to the floppy rather than referring to reams of notebooks...HAHAHAHAHA!

I do find this funny.

But what stands out is that the student isn't much of a typer. He's finger typing. The layout of a typewriter hasn't changed. So I doubt he really needed his "fix." What he "needed" was to get a rise out of the professor. Kudos because it looks like he did.
