Hi. I am looking to upgrade my system and kind of stumped as to what I should upgrade. I play DCS World and recently got the Meta/Oculus Quest 3 VR Headset. I can play on the lowest settings and it looks bad which takes the immersion and enjoyment out of it. Not to mention the stuttering and bad performance. I would like to achieve better visuals along with performance. Not looking for godlike in either.

Currently, my system is

GPU: RTX 3070 FTW (8GB)
CPU: Intel i5 12600K
MB: Prime Z690M-Plus D4
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 3600 DDR4 32Gb (Have 64gb ordered and on the way)
PSU: EVGA 750 B5 80Plus Bronze
SSD: Samsung 980 NVMe 3500mbs read/3000mbs write

I was looking at getting an RTX 4070ti Super. Then thought perhaps I should get the RTX 4070 ti or super and upgrade the CPU. I am stuck on what I should do. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Darryl

I'd say dump all your money on the GPU and get the RTX 4080 if you can stretch your budget a bit. If not, the RTX 4070 Super is probably the best value for new 40 series GPUs that will be a noticeable upgrade from your RTX 3070. The 12600k is going to be just fine when you're GPU limited.
