Question Stuttering audio in games ?

Problem just started this morning when i got on, audio works just fine on standard applications (web browser, streaming video, discord, client windows for games with audio), but when its a full on game the audio starts to stutter, and just the audio not the visuals.

I've restarted the computer
unplugged and plugged everything
all the drivers are up to date
and I've tried running the games in windowed, still happens

Problem stopped on Tuesday, but i'm still curious what you think.
