Hello, i have terrible stuttering in games like GTA 5 and crysis, GPU is not loaded at 100% and most of the time jumps between 30 -60 % in gpu load. Looks like CPU bottleneck but i have i7 2600 4.1 Ghz and cpu also sits at 20-30 load. I Have 16 gb of ddr3 cl9 ram. What may be the problem, my old 580 GTX did a better job...

it might be a driver problem!!!
try to reinstall drivers and also download the latest drivers from AMD or SAPPHIRE website.
IS your PSU have enough power for your GPU???
If your HHD or SSD is OK and your old gpu did a better job in same games with same settings , the problem is drivers or PSU !!!
Try to uninstall drivers with an app named DDU ( Display Driver Uninstaller ) to uninstall the drivers completely.
After doing all of what i said , if you still have bad performance in games , tr to use benchmarking apps and compare the results with the other results in the internet ( it shouldn't be %100 same )
If you have same results as others , some thing else like your storage or CPU,etc is limiting the GPU but if your results was showing a really big gap between your card and other furys , then check the psu and drivers

My firestrike score is lmost identical to same systems, and btw i run witcher 3 all maxed with smooth 60fps. So its only Gta 5 and crysis 3. I feel like it may be windows 10. Should i try to run games at windows 7

I have a R9 290 base clock 975 and overclocked to 1080 and i still get the same stutter on GTA 5 that you're getting, whether it is at base clock speed or overclock. I honestly think its the GTA 5 update. after the last update i've had major stuttering.

I no longer have this problem but for the longest time GTA 5 had a huge memory leak. It would cause my game to stutter crash and sometimes my computer to bluescreen. I suppose you guys could be facing the same issue on GTA. Next time you run it overlay a program that monitors your RAM to see how much of it is using. What would happen to me is the longer I played the higher percentage of Ram would be used until Windows stopped a crash using other forms of memory or my pc blue screened.

So it might be GTA problem. If your benchmarks are ok and you don't have problem in other games so its GTA problem
i play gta v on a 5770 on 1600*900 on max settings!!!!!!! and get 25.30 fps. I don't update gta on this system and have a better pc and usually use that on gaming and in that i don't have a problem. My last update was igg2.
it might be GTA problem.
But Crysis 3 is a smooth game. realy smooth. even on my old system. with that 5770 !!!
do you get 60fps in crysis?? i get on max setting on 1080p and you should.
so i think your problem is : 1- CPU or 2- game problem 3- drivers
but i think the problem is caused by gta update

While i only have 8gb heavy ram consumption will easily cause stutters in gameplay even with your 16gb. The worst part being with the GTA bug the used ram isn't flushed until you restart your PC. SO if you hoped onto Crysis right after playing GTA you might only be playing with 3gb of your 16gb ram rather than the normal, 14-15gb.

for me it use 6 gb 🙂)
I don't remember when but in past , after one of the GTA V updates i had huge frame drops after 30 minutes but now, its OK

If you have same benchmark results , try to reinstall drivers or game. because if benchmarks are OK ,so something else might be wrong like drivers.Did you uninstall 580 drivers????Use DDU ( Display Driver Uninstaller ) and install it again.
Crysis 3 is one of my favorite games and it have to run better on AMD cards.
Try re installing game .If your benchmarks are OK and you don't have problem with other games , your GPU is ok and problem is software.
Reinstall games , drivers and tell me the result
It might be a Win10 problem too

I get micro stuttering in minecaft at 60fps on air fury, I used the cpu on onboard graphics and it had no stutter, I am going to try another GPU which is the amd 280x too see if it's just the gpu problem
