Hey guys, I'm building a new computer because, unfortunately, I'm going to be spending 6+ hours a day at my computer for the next 2.5 years for my WORK (if I was playing games, I wouldn't be complaining  ). Anyhow, I've been looking at 19" monitors, and $300 is about my point of pain. Here are a few options that I've found:

Cornerstone P24600
Hitachi CM721
NEC FE950
and the ubiquitous ViewSonics (which I haven't heard good things about)

In any event, which of these would you suggest? I've heard VERY good things about Cornerstone... but I wanted to run it buy you guys first. Any advice/comments? Thanks!

The CM721F and FE950+ are 96Khz monitors meaning they are optimized for 1280 x 1024 at 85Hz resolution. The p2460 is a 117Khz monitor optimized for 1600 x 1200 at 85Hz. If you only need 1280 x 1024 at 85Hz look at the Cornerstone p2450, it is a 96Khz like the Hitachi and NEC and is on sale now for $199.

I'd prefer the 1600x1200 as my "work" is frequently CAD/CAM and FEM. Any recommendations for competing monitors with the Cornerstone? I believe the Sony G420 is the one I hear the most about... although prices are in the $350 range.

Thanks for your input, though!
