Sub-woofer placement

Hello,
Can the subwoofer be placed behind the TV or above the TV?
Don't want it to be seen so I have space behind and above TV. Could it damage the TV in these places?

Subs usually have a much stronger magnetic field than regular speakers, it should not be right near a TV. Although shielded, it's not as good as the smaller speakers.

Read the documentation, will tell you more probably.

The main danger of speaker magnetic fields is to the old style CRT televisions which aer becoming increasingly rare. Modern flat panel displays are almost completely resistant.

Of your two choices, I would opt for the floor; less distance to fall.
