Question Sudden black border issues around screen (reoccuring?)

Hello, back in 2021 I made a post because my laptop at the time had gotten small black border around the screen while i was modding skyrim and it was driving me wild. I was a stupid kid with an unknown model laptop and the black border was tiny so i basically could not provide any info about specs or hardware and had to get a new laptop.
Now in 2025, i've built my own computer (so i have all the spec knowledge) but the exact same problem has returned. Coincidentally while modding skyrim my screen has again gotten these black borders. Now my screen has already gone into standby by itself several times while using the pc recently (twice yesterday) for no reason beforehand so i don't think its necessarily skyrims fault but i'd like to know if its a software or hardware issue before returning the screen. This also started after updating windows but again i already had problems (I know the borders changed because it did NOT have a black stripe in the bottom before. It filled the screen completely! And i infact watched the borders grow pixel by pixel in width). I have tried a range of things mentioned by google including filling screen, themes in personalization, checking screen settings.
i have an Lenovo G27qc-30 27" curved and nvidia geforce rtx 4080 super version 560.70

Notice the lack of borders on the official picture. That was my pc yesterday.
If anyone could please help me i would be greatful. My online classes start today

You're on an older driver version. 566.36 is the latest version;
Use DDU to remove all GPU drivers(intel, AMD and Nvidia) in Safe Mode, then manually install the latest GPU driver linked above in an elevated command.

You might want to mention your specs to your build like so:
CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time.

The one constant seems to be the Skyrim mods.

What are you trying to do? How are you doing the mods?

Details?

Full system hardware specs and OS?

More information needed.
I have not done anything other than plop in skyrim mods into mod organizer 2 in this case. So while before i also thought it was skyrim, that seems unlikely. I havent done anything but boot up the game to the main menu this time.
