Sudden drop in performance over night for processor

Overnight, my processor (i-7 4790k) stopped working nearly as well as it was. The night before I was playing video games at a steady 120 fps. The following morning I dropped to 30 fps. Every game seemed to have a massive decrease in performance. At first, I thought it was my graphics card, but I did a test on userbenchmarks and found this:

Things I have already tried:
1. I ran msconfig and made sure the computer was using all cores possible
2. I took out and put back in the cmos battery to reset the bios settings

thats weird, check HWmonitor? see what temps/clock speed its running it?

Okay I used the HWmonitor and found out that each core was limited at 800 when it should be over 4000. The solution was to reset the bios or turn on the oc genie in the bios.
