Hi, I am planning to build a gaming system in the next few months.

Here is the basic build (without graphics card and monitor) and here is the final build list.

As the graphics card is going to be the costliest component, I am going to wait a while and see if I should get the new GTX 1080 or buy the GTX 980 Ti.

I probably need to mention that this is my first gaming PC build.

I could maybe shell out a few bucks here and there but nothing too extravagant.
Kindly send me your ideas/suggestions or any problems with this build.

(Oh and also, I put the Corsair CXM PSU in the list just as a placeholder to show the price of the component. I am actually planning to buy either Seasonic s12g-650 or Corsair RM650.)

You really don't need a GTX 980 Ti for a 1920x1080 60hz monitor. A GTX 970 (or probably a 1070) is all you need.

You should buy an SSD for the OS and programs. The PC will boot faster and navigating around the OS will also be faster. File read/write times will also be hugely improved.

Between the PSUs you've chosen, the Seasonic is the one to go for.

I am planning on having either a multi monitor setup or one 1440p monitor and want to future proof my system -- that's why the 980 ti / GTX 1080.

I'll go with the Seasonic PSU.. Thanks
Also, I'll probably end up buying a SSD when I buy the GPU. Will Kingston UV300 240GB be enough?

go with a i3 or i5 processor for gaming as both can handle most games u throw at it most ur set up ur going with is prety good go with a gigabyte branded motherboard on that set up u end up making a beast that will go with most games most people will recomend skylake but haswell is a decent option even tho the socket is dead now i built 1 that goes better or as good as most skylakes do ur research on what u want but gigabyte is a good brand even asus msi asrock are all build great motherboards
