Sure it is a 'new interface'. Only it is over 6 years old. Like saying the intel core architecture is a 'new architecture'.

You probably some serious $$$ for this.
Although the regular MLC SSD's should not be that expensive.

agreed, I have 4 ssd in raid zero and my system stutters big time. i am thinking of pulling those things out and build a raid 0 with 4 velociraptors

Glad to see more enterprise SAS SSDs hitting the market. More competition means the insane "enterprise SSD" prices will come down, and that means I can spec better server hardware to fit my budget at work.

And all I have to say to Nebun, who can't get 4 SSDs to run smoothly while the rest of us can get smooth response with just one SSD... "You're doing it wrong."
