Err..... Let's just say you have a higher chance to kill your own hardware via a simple static shock than it shocking you.
 
How about 100V * 1A = 100W? 100V can travel very long distance. BTW, I don't see any laptops can supply the extra 100W to the external devices.
 


Would need a pretty heavy duty boost converter to make 100v. Then use another converter in the device to feed the low voltage electronics.
