Hoping some of the knowledgeable folks on here might have some insights on this.

So I just upgraded from a Pro 6 which I've had for three years to a Pro 9, reason being the jump in graphics processing. Everything was going great until I touched my stylus to it and immediately noticed a jitter. At first I thought it was the pen sliding a bit on the bare glass, but it persisted with a screen protector added, was too uniform, and I've found it goes away completely when drawing straight vertically or horizontally.

I uninstalled every pen-related driver I could see and restarted, I fully upgraded Windows 11, etc. I'm not 100% on what's causing it; I've seen differing diagnoses and advice including claims that this is just what ntrig tech does, but I find it hard to believe that this is simply an intrinsic problem with the product since it seems crazy for an issue like this to exist in the later version and be nonexistent beforehand with the same software updates.

To show the depth of difference that I'm talking about, I did the lines below with the same pen, in the same version of the same drawing program, on my two machines; the 6 I've had for over 3 years, the 9 I've had for under 3 weeks, and the fact that there's this level of the 6 outperforming the 9 here seems crazy.

I'm thinking of taking it in to a Microsoft store, but I want to know if there's some chance I overlooked something?

Maybe the Surface Pro 9 uses different drivers from the 6? Could be an issue with the latest drivers too, so updating the drivers to their latest wont always help.
I've been trying to research the drivers because I had a similar thought, but it seems pretty tough to track down individual ones. Both devices are fully updated, so the latest drivers on the 6 don't do this, but it's true that that could mean different things for each of them if they have different driver sets.

I also tried messing with the resolution, thinking maybe the screen size would adjust the mapping (I'm not 100% fluent in how this works) to no effect.
