does anyone use this? i just bought it hoping to get my fx55 past 2.85ghz wich is my sticking point with my HSF

Also does anyone know if 1.55v is enough to overclock past 2.85ghz or am i going to need to do the voltage mod on my mobo to get more juice to overclock more??

and anyone know a program to get my cpus wattage while overclocking

thanks 8)

with that kind of money, you can buy phase change which gives you much better temps. or you can spend less for a really good watercoolign loop. either of them will perform better than that TEC setup. a good TEC setup needs at triple rad, that 120mm single radiator isn't going to take all the heatload from the 224watt TEC.

you can buy another triple radiator, but that'll be more expensive and won't be as good as phase change

the OC isn't always going to go higher just because you have better cooling. some people might hit 3ghz on air but can't push any farther than than on water or phase. it really depends on the chip, mobo and memory.

and to figure out the watts do the voltage times the amps on the rail

i told you, its not certain that any voltage will get you past any clockspeed. you can pump as much voltage as you want on the chip and if you get a bad chip, then its not gonna go past 2.85. if you get the really good ones that will do 3.0 on stock voltage, then you are lucky. there is NO guarantee that you'll go past 2.85

Maybe~~~~at cooler temperature and more voltage you can squeeze a little bit more out of your chips but not a guarantee!
How far away are you away from 2.85GHz anyway??
Another thing to consider is if it is a minor gain......is it worth all the money and the effort??

im prime95 stable @2.85 Vcore 1.55

this is a guy hobbie! It does not have to be efficient, rational, smart, cost effective or produce that great of results, it is just something to tinker with!
