Hello,

I'm sure this has been asked a million times before but nothing i find seems to work in my case.

I have an AMD A-10 7700K CPU and GTX 750 in my PC and it is set to the integrated graphics, rather than the dedicated.

The new AMD Crimson doesn't allow me to change to high performance as it did in CCC. I cannot access the nVidia control panel, obviously. And when i try boot into BIOS the screen goes black and nothing more.

How can i switch to the GTX 750?

I'm not very PC savvy and do not know how to connect my monitor to my MoBo, is this the only option? If so, ill risk breaking everything with my bad luck and try it, was just hoping for an easy way out. Let me know.

Thanks!

Don't connect your monitor to your motherboard. This will use the integrated graphics to render graphics on the monitor therefore not use the 750.

These are differents ports you can find on a monitor and a graphic card. To connect it, just connect the corresponding cables. (Note that There is anonther type of port, the VGA,which is not very used these days, that looks like a blue trapeze with little screws on the side)

Here is a old video if don't understand

If the monitor is connected to the graphics card output, the integrated is not being used. If the monitor is connected to the motherboard output, the discrete graphics card (GTX 750) is not being used.

In your case, you should just leave the monitor connected to the graphics card output and not worried about the integrated.

I'm such a noob. There were two sets of ports on the back of my PC, one (now obviously) was connected to the MoBo, which i had my monitor in, and the other, clearly the 750. Switch them over and everything works perfectly.

Thank you so much, you saved me losing my mind a buying a new GPU and CPU!!!!!
