Question Switched from nvidia to amd, PC won't get past asus splash screen

I switched from a nvidia gpu (1070) to an amd gpu (rx 6650 xt) and when powering on I get to the asus splash screen, with the text at the bottom saying press f2 or del to open the bios, but then it does not get any further than this. My keyboard is functional but when I press F2 or Del nothing happens. My BIOS is up to date and I tried reseting all the BIOS settings to default (using my old gpu) but none of this worked. I have 500w power supply which should be enough for the gpu, my cpu is i7 7700K and the motherboard is asus z270-p.

Any ideas?

Also I tested the gpu in a different PC and it worked fine with no issues so there is no hardware issues with the gpu

Try a CMOS reset. IIRC, my Z270 strix ITX board hated GPU swaps, and I always had to do a CMOS reset, when I did one.

No sorry, turns out it was a power supply issue. Upgraded my power supply and now it runs fine
