switching 1600mhz to 2400mhz

Hi I have an Asusm5a97 mobo and just recently got 2400mhz ram. Everytime I set it above 1600 and restart i get a black screen. If i use the power button and turn on in goes to overclock fail. How do I get it to the 2400mhz? Thanks!

Spec: Fx 8350, gtx 980, h80i cooler, 1tb hard drive, and only 550psu.

Hmmm.. I tried 1866 is well and it does the same thing.
