switching between vga and hdmi on monitor

i have a lg 22 inch monitor which has vga and hdmi ports, now i was just thinking that can i connect pc through hdmi and xbox through vga and use it at the same time without using splitter? help

how do you intend to use both at the same time????

half for pc and half for xbox???

i am afraid that will not be possible (half half thing)

They can both be connected, but you can only use one at a time. Change inputs via the monitor menu.

I mean to say connect both to the monitor and switch between PC and Xbox whenever I want without using splitter, didn't mean to use them at the same time

Monitors typically don't have picture-in-picture, if that's what you are asking. USAFRet is correct in what you would have to do.
