Switching my gpu

I currently have a rx 580 4gb and looking to change too a gtx 1080, im not very familiar with pc's themselves but would like to know if i can do so. My motherboard is a AX370-Gaming (rev. 1.x). Thanks for any help its greatly appreciated

You can switch gpus, no problem... BUT a 1080 will cost you your organs unless you get the reference model at msrp from Nvidia's website. You're gonna have to camp that purchase button, because the cards are selling out as soon as they get restocked.

Main thing is that you have to uninstall the AMD card correctly before putting in the 1080.
