My computer had recently started to freeze for a few seconds and the work normally again. The freezes are sometimes accompanied by a strange noise through my headset and sometimes they are silent. I have run Memtest for about 10 hours with no errors (could still be RAM maybe?). I still have the freezes without my GPU (using integrated graphics). I have the freezes without my HDD plugged in. Could it be my SSD? I just purchased a new motherboard which did not fix the problem.

My PC:
i5 4670k (stock clocks)
GTX 980ti
TX650 PSU
Gigabyte GA-Z87X-D3H / Gigabyte Gaming 7
Samsung 840 EVO
2 tb Seagate HDD

Sounds like a driver issue. I had stuff like that on some PCs in the past. Really hard to diagnose. Look in Performance Manager and see if you can see high interrupt counts/delays.

There is a tool (can't remember now) that is used by audio enthusiasts to pick up laggy drivers.

Maybe someone with a fresher memory this early in the morning will answer.

Try BIOS update, make sure CPU .inf drivers from Intel is correct and re-check all other drivers.

This is a good place to start looking:

So if the CPU goes under 100% it means its a CPU driver? I reinstalled windows earlier and the problem continued. I also installed the latest mobo drivers and pulled the battery for a few minutes.

Thank you. All of my drivers were up to date.

Can %100 confirm it is not
-GPU
-HDD
-Case
-Mobo
-RAM

95% confirm it is not
-PSU (tried friends. New PSU is coming in thursday)

Can not confirm
-CPU (Possible. I can not replicate the freeze with a stress test. How can I test?)
-SSD (S.M.A.R.T. says it is fine, do not know how to test otherwise. how can I test?)
-Wifi Adapter (I know its out there but so is this problem. New mobo has a broken ethernet port so I have to wait to test it.)

Does anyone have any ideas or ways to test my CPU/SSD/wifi adapter?

Tests I have tried for those three
- S.M.A.R.T.
- Intel possessor diagnostic tool
- Stress tests on both and at the same time
