Question Symptoms of Damaged GPU Core or CUDA Core?

What are the symptoms of a damaged GPU core or CUDA core? I am asking because I had a fan on my GPU hit a cable in my case and I was worried about it overheating!

The card basically starts acting up.
Program will start crashing, slowing down, not working properly, random glitches, overheating.
If you are not experiencing any of the things i mentioned, atleast make sure to check your GPU temps every once in a while, to make sure everything is working properly.

Mind you though that artifacts can also be caused from unstable overclock, bad VRAM chip, corrupted driver, or even as simple as bad input links whether that's on the ports of the display or GPU or just the cable. But yeah, you clearing that cable snag is enough, a short accidents like that wont cause any significant damage mostly.

I had a GPU with borked VRAM.

If you run something like 3DMark TimeSpy, and it works without weird flashing bits on the screen that shouldn't be there, you are probably okay.
