I have a laptop, installed with XP Professional 2002 SP2. When I'm at home,
it's connected to my home network (Windows 2000).
I am a computer programmer by trade, and frequently do work at home, rather
than stay late at the office. Also, I am a keen amateur genealogist, and I
want to be able to set up my offline files so that my genealogy research
files (which live on my server) are automatically synchronised between the
server and the laptop at log on/off time. The problem is, I only seem to be
able to select my entire home folder, which I don't want, since there are a
lot of files in there that would take an age to sync.
I suppose I really have two questions:
1. Is it possible to set up the offline files synchronisation so that it
doesn't attempt to synchronise my entire home folder, and it's sub-folders?
2. Is it then possible to select individual folders within my home folder
for individual synchronisation?
I hope someone can help me with this.
TIA
