[citation][nom]HavoCnMe[/nom]Don't forget you still need to spend money on an OS.[/citation]And a monitor, keyboard, mouse...and you'd better not forget how much all those other benchmark programs cost at $40 per game and hundreds of dollars for some of the other applications.

If your going to overclock, don't purchase a MSI motherboard. That alone probably made a difference in the numbers. If they purchased an Asus motherboard, I believe the numbers would have been better.

here are my specs:
asus M4N82 Deluxe
phenom II 965 @ 4Ghz overclocked
8GB ddr2 1066 G.Skill
asus radeon 5850-70
areca raid 1110 raid0 w 4xSeagate Barracuda 250GB 7200.10
2x OCZ Vertex 2 60GB on nvidia mediashield Raid0
thermaltake toughpower 850W
vendetta 2 cooler
cheap or existing case

and if you play mostly CS or similar games OR u use PC for business & mltimedia, you can save $$ from the videocard

most items 2nd hand off ebay or other sites,
some new - much better use of your money !

and much more powerful!!

also there is NO justification for 6 core cpu now as there are virtually NO applications that can use the extra cores, also intel machines are ridiculously expensive!

you can also save $$ from having only 4 GB RAM as most apps dont utilise more than 4 doesnt matter what OS you use, also if you are on tight budget you can pass the 2nd OCZ drive too.
