So I'm planning to upgrade my system. Now, tehere are some stuff I'm not really sure aboout, but first I'll tell what the would the new system look like.
Case: Coolermaster Sniper
CPU: Core i7-3770K
GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 680 FTW 4096MB
RAM: Kingston Technology HyperX 16 GB Kit (4x4 GB Modules) - KHX1600C9D3K4/16GX
PSU: SevenTeam Real 850W
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper N 512
Mobo: ASUS P8Z77-V
HDD: 2 x Seagate 7200RPM 500GB 3.5in 6GB/s
SDD: Intel 520 Series Solid-State Drive 120 GB 6GB/s
So, mys questions are:
1) Is this build ok?
2) About the Mobo, it has 2 storage controllers. All the storage devices I'm using support 6GB/s. The sotrage controllers on the Mobo are an Intel® Z77 chipset controller and an ASMedia® PCIe SATA controller. Now, I was thinking about using the SSD as a boot drive only, and the HDDs as main drives for storage. Is this going to be possible with this Mobo?
Thank you.
