System Not Turning Off?

So when I shut down my computer I use the standard shut down button for Windows 8.1. But say the very next day when I go into task manager to close a game or something It says the uptime is 1-4 days. Is this a problem? If so how can i fix it?

It means its running processes in the background. Solutions:
*download anti malware then run it
*disable startup programs in mschonfig then disable non microsoft programs under processes in msconfig

I have no Walaware or viruses on my computer it has been doing this ever since I got it up and running. What i do have is drivers that start up when the Pc does.

Actually its just Windows 8 being stupid as always. http://superuser.com/questions/744583/windows-8-uptime-not-resetting-after-restart-or-shut-down This explained it all. You can't you the Standared Windows 8 Shutdown you need to ALT+F4 then shutdown for a Windows 8 system to fully shutdown. I just did it and the uptime timer restarted. Can't wait for Windows 10 -_-
