Hi - I have started having issues with my PC build recently where my PC restarts randomly. The restart can happen any time, even when the system is ideal and nothing or no work is ongoing on the machine.

Following are the PC specs of the build

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600
  • MotherBoard: ASRock B450 Steel Legend
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GT 710 (GK208) [GIGABYTE]
  • Ram: Corsair Vengence 2x8GB DDR4 SDRAM
  • PSU: CoolerMaster MWE 550 230V
  • 1TB Nvme drive and 500GB m.2 connected on MotherBoard
  • Antec Prizm 120 ARGB 3+2+C - 120mm PWM Dual Ring ARGB Cabinet Fan With ARGB Fans And ARGB LED Strips (Triple Pack) connected to ARGB pins and CPU fan headers on MotherBoard
  • OS: Windows 11
  • Dual monitor setup

Things tried so far:
Event viewer shows kernel-power (41) errors.

Any help would be appreciated.

Random PC restarts could be due to a failing PSU. Can you borrow a PSU to test stability ?
I will try to get a different PSU to test by tomorrow. Should it be of more capacity or a different brand would do?
For now, I have removed the ARGB Fans and ARGB led strips from the Motherboard Header pins and moved them to a Controller which came with the package, for now, the system has not restarted for a while, I will let it run for a couple of hours more, may be overnight to see if that was the problem.
