System Recovery NOT restore URGENT HELP needed please :)

I have a laptop which i use to connect wirelessly to my home pc using
wireless card and wireless router

laptop has problems wiv the hard drive and i want to do a system recovery.

will i lose this connection if i was to restore and if so how can i get it
back up when my system has been restored?

Thanks in advance for any help/advice.

hi matt, if your card requires software to make it work then yes u will lose
the connection, but after doing a system recovery just reinstall the software
and put the card back in. But if it doesnt use software then, after you've
done the sys recovery just plug the card in and windows xp should reconise
it, but you may need to configure the card which u do so by: start -> control
panel -> Network and internet connections -> Network connections -> Create a
new connection.

Hi Matt,

If you are restoring ( with System Restore) back to a point when the
wireless connection was already setup, then no, you should not loose
the connection. Alternatively, if the system is being restored to a
date before the wireless connection was setup then the wireless
adapter software/driver would have to be reinstalled and setup per the
manufactures instructions.

Depends on what problems you are having "wiv" the Hard Drive.......
If it is a "Problem with the Hard Drive, you may or may not be able to
install or reinstall the Operating Sysyem.
What "problem" are you having withe the Hard Drive??
