System Standby

I have an Intel 810 unit that the power supply fan will stop when the unit goes into Standby. I would like to build additional units with this feature. Which component controls this feature (bios, motherboard, power supply)?

If I had to guess I would say that it is the mobo. You will have to get the manual and check me on this but I wouldnt doubt it. I presume that the mobo and the powersupply were designed to work like that or it may be a feature that is build into every new machine, I dont know I may have to check mine out.

It would have to be the mobo because how else would the power supply know that the computer has gone into standby. Get another computer and try it. Maybe switch out the power supply's and see if it makes a difference.
