I just did a new win10 build in a case I had used previously, and it seems like the power button isn't properly powering the system down. I behaves like a normal shutdown, and boots up normally, but once it's up again, the performance tab in task manager still shows a cumulative up-time from the previous session. Only way I've found to reset the clock is to do a restart rather than shutting the system down. The very first thing I did when I noticed this was check the power button settings, and it shows it's configured to power down, not hibernate or sleep. As a side note, I'm not very savvy with win10. Anyone have thoughts?

Solution
its that fast startup thing, to speedup boottime, windows store itself to a drive, in its fresh boot state, then it loads that from a file rather than process it all from scratch, hybernation saves everything
