Hello,
My original hope was for multi-monitor support from a single graphics card.(Integrated mobo graphics leave much to be desired.) Upgraded from 250W stock psu to 600W to aid the card,(32A on the 12volt),but keeps shutting down after power-up. Does it need more power?
Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit.
Intel Core i3-550
6G DDR3
MS-7613 (iona gl8e) ver1.1
Advice please for dual digital monitor set up, non-gaming,HD Video and audio a must...(2 Acer 24in. LCD)
Thanks in advance.

32 amp x 12 volt = 384 watts
That is just barely enough.
A system with a 560 Ti under load can pull around 360 watts
The GTX 560 Ti at load uses around 160 watts.

If the Thermaltake is actually rated lower than the 384 watts you might have issues..

Hope you guys can bear with me. I'm very forum illiterate. The shutdown occurs just after login, and it's as if i purposely clicked the shutdown button. It may or may not then start back up, and shut down again. Then I have to wait for some time to retry.

Understood, but thats a negative. Here's my thought. Original psu mainboard plug was a 20 pin. Mobo has locations for both 20+4. I am currently using the full 24 pins. Should I pull the 4pin atx?

Would you suggest more than 800W, or both W and amps?

A power supply rated at 600 watts that only has 384 watts on the 12v rail sends shivers down my spine and does not engender confidence.

A Corsair CX 500 watt is rated at 408 watts on the 12v rail with a total wattage of 570 on all rails. If that thermaltake only has 384 watts it tells me that there is a liar label...

if it a power issue the pc should shut down if he sitting in the bios. as he getting into windows and shutting down it could be a virus or an issue with a program in start up. have you tried using f8 safe mode??? then go in and use ms config and turn everything off in start up. in safe mode if it goes in run malware scan and an anti virus scan. there are know virus that will auto shutdown windows.

The 'what' is that the PSU is ThermalTake which is a dubious brand in my opinion. Those numbers tell a lot about the brand and the quality that is going into the PSU. When a PSU is rated 600 watts and over a third of those watts are allocated to the 5v/3.3v rail it indicates the PSU is very poorly constructed. Also it shows that the brand puts liar labels on their products. I doubt that PSU is actually putting out the wattage it claims.

Here it shows a system with a GTX 560 Ti at idle drawing 161 watts while the system at load drew 352 watts

There you can check temperatures. Check if anything climbing up.
