Having some issues after upgrading my board and cpu, B450 Tomohawk MAX + R7 5800x to B650 Elite AX V2 + R7 9800x3D

Updated my bios through qflash+, took ~5 mins, the flashing lights changed speeds and then psu powered off like I was told should happen, so I imagine it has updated fine.

Put everything together and I’m getting boot and cpu error light, no image being picked up on monitor, fans seem to be spinning but the cpu fan looks like it restarts after a while.

Potentially relevant information:

My new board has an 8 pin cpu power socket (only one im using) with a 4 pin socket a small distance from it, read online i should only need to use the 8pin unless overclocking, but wondering if it’s relevant.

Did attempt to use the qflash+ system a few hours before the assumed successful bios update, I hadn’t renamed the file then so i had to reassemble my old system to do so.

When doing my “successful” bios update the cpu error light was on but at the time i had assumed it was due to me not having a cpu installed, as its not necessary when using qflash.

Spent my entire day trying to get this to work so all help is appreciated!

A B450 Tomahawk MAX motherboard does not support a 9800x3d., it only supports up to a 5000 serries CPU.

The B450 is a socket AM4 and the 9800x3d is socket AM5. AM4 only supports serries 1000, 2000, 3000, and 5000.
Maybe I gave too much information, I have upgraded from the B450 to a B650
