Hello... let's see what the OS is reporting as the error... Right click computer-manage-System Tools-Windows logs-system.... Click on the "RED" errors, for more information... and files/drivers/Apps, comments/suggestions/information associated with them B )

Posting screen images from here will help me, help you faster... But copy and posting text will work too B )

quick question i can't find "computer-manage-windows logs -systems....tried searching too lol

Yup after that i click on event viewer because i wouldn't find window logs...and than event viewer just crashed and disappeared sorry...if you're frustrated..with me but plz help xD
Also i found window event log in services... btw im on windows 10..now i WAS on window 8.1

asmtxhci.sys= Asmedia USB 3.0 driver

I would install the windows 10 updates for your motherboard and update the BIOS.
https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/SABERTOOTH_990FX/HelpDesk_Download/

the BIOS sets up the electronics for the USB 3 chip, It has to be upgraded to match your version to of the asmedia driver.

you could also, upplug all devices from your USB 3 ports, disable the usb ports in BIOS and remove the asmedia driver.

uhh how do i do that...do i need to re install windows? and if i try refreshing my drive....(in the window's repair option) it says my harddrive is locked and i need to unlock it...(also where my window installation is which i believe is in my main hard drive)

for updating my bios...my current version is 2501 (AL SUITE II) but the website you sent me to "update my bios" is 1604..(btw i was thinking of updating my bios but the version is confused me so i didnt)

Asus has different servers for different regions, I have found that there are different files on each site.
or I might not have picked the same version of motherboard you have, or you might have a BETA version of a BIOS.
just not sure but go into bios and check the actual version that was installed. Hackers can hack the bios download service and put their own bios version out with remote access. (i am not saying that is the case, I have just heard it has been done before to install malware into a bios)

the refreshing thing doesn't work says "my hard drive is locked where my window files are" the restore window thing doesn't work also. I did some kind of commend in CMD that unlocks my hard drive but didn't for some reason...and i think thats all..and bios idk

i dont think this would help but on my Al suite ll the release date for the 2501 bios was on 04/08/2014 and the website one was release on 2012/10/24 (10/24/2012)
Should i call customer care?

Hello... do Ya feel think it's a HD or OS problem here?... B / got any experience (Pre-cursers) too throw out there for me on this problem?
1) hear abnormal noise from the HD... B /
2) touch it... Is it spinning up during Boot? and continue spinning? Fast and then slows down?
3) Are you getting LED indication on the case that it is reading or Communicating with MB?
4) are you plugged in to SATA0 or Sata1... B / different cable... re-connect it?
5) power to the drive tests for me?

Standards for usb 3 drivers were changed in 2013. So if your bios is newer it has the updates, and you would need a updated usb 3 driver.
generally it works it the drivers and bios are dated after march 2013 or
the BIOS and USB drivers are dated sometime in 2012

what generally fails is new BIOS and old USB driver
or New USB 3.0 driver and old BIOS

New = after march of 2013

windows 10 will expect updated usb 3.0 specs.

I would call and find out what the current bios version is, and where to get the updates for your driver.
you could also search the various asus websites, I don't think they update all the regions at the same time.
Some boards are sent to different markets and might have different versions of a chip on them.
(then different regions might have different BIOS and chip driver versions)

I don't hear anything abnormal about my hard drive..it does spin i hear it and it would fast and then slow down end of my booting but it goes fast again (which was normal i think) I'm not getting and LED except my fans...i connected my 1tb to sata 1 (i think) and my cd reader to 2 and my 80gb black cavalier to 3 i think. Power to the drive test...idk what that means sorry lol

I dont know if this will help but when i try downloading skype...it would crash saying System_service_exception (asmtxhci.sys) as well...so i do think its my usb but at the same time with my window files or something like that

Hello... Well you find the APP program owning that file... and Fix it or re-move it with the proper software... B /
