So, if you guys were folllowing me i had alot of problem with my New gaming pc long time ago and its coming back... System_service_exception (asmtxhci.sys). I just got this yesterday 6/14/16 and this happened when i wanted to change my headset (usb) but when i unplugged my audio and mic jack the System_service_exception (asmtxhci.sys) happened...and now its keep happening when skype opens....i did everything go to safe mode do some cmd and etc....but doesn't work...

Specs ..

ASUS GeForce GTX 970 TURBO-GTX970-OC-4GD5 4GB 256-Bit GDDR5

AMD FD8350FRHKBOX FX-8350

ASUS TUF SABERTOOTH 990FX

WD Blue 1TB Desktop Hard Disk Drive

EVGA 500 W1 80+, 500W:

Kingston HyperX FURY 8GB:
Window 8.1 upgraded to windows 10

The bugcheck was: 0x0000001e (0xffffffffc0000047, 0xfffff800956aade4, 0x0000000000000000, 0x0000000000000000). A dump was saved in: C:\WINDOWS\MEMORY.DMP

0xc0000047= An attempt was made to release a semaphore such that its maximum count would have been exceeded.

you should put the file C:\windows\memory.dmp on the server so it could be looked at.

it could be a bug where a driver releases the same object twice, and causes the counter to underflow which makes the counter go from 1, to zero, to the max number. sounds like a bug in a driver.

just to make sure...is the file name 0xc0000047? if not what is it...and if thats the file i put that file in C:\windows\memory.dmp ?

no, that is the error code.
the file you want to upload is the memory dump file.
in this case it was c:\windows\memory.dmp
(it must be a kernel or full memory dump file, minimemory dumps are stored in a different location, c:\windows\minidump directory)

looks like you had another bugcheck (3 or 4 like this)
0x0000003b (0x00000000c0000005, 0xfffff801e05ac781, 0xffffd000253cbc80, 0x0000000000000000).

the error code 0xc0000005 indicates a bad memory address was passed to a driver

You had several, errors indicating error code
0xc00000006 The required data was not placed into memory because of an I/O error status
basically something failed to read from storage and into memory without getting corrupted.

several 0xc0000374 error codes: (app) A heap has been corrupted.

I would be looking for a memory problem or a problem in sleep functions.
you would run memtest86 to check for the first problem.
I would change the system so it does not sleep to work around the second problem.
(set it to high performance, until you figure out the cause of the problem)

looking at the memroy dump file would be helpful to figure this out.
even a minidump might help.

you also had some logs that indicated that your sata controller did not respond within the timeout
which is 30 seconds by default. This can indicate bad drivers or failing drive.

but these are all from the logs across many system boots so if do not know what the current state of the machine would be without looking at a memory dump.

woah what xD so i have run memtest86? and then change the system? (what does that mean)...is there like a video i can follow lol

well...right now im running memtest86 and for some reason its checking my cpu and right now it took 22:05:50.... for 3 passes...i have no error and than later i have to check my system memory.... which sucks..because this might take another 22 hour so

and uhh btw i DID say this in a different comment but the version i currently have for my bios is "higher" than the one on their site....so I should really call customer care right?

yep, find out why you have a special bios version.

btw im using my laptop to reply to you but does memtest86 take 22 hours??? just to find a problem with my cpu...rn the time is 22:23:52 3/4 passes(skipped 2 pass mid way) and right now pass 3 91% pass and 58% test? should i just cancel it and test my system memory... and after i do this what do i do? except updating my drivers?

just a question should i download the audio and sata drivers too? and the driver on the website is the same 2501...so yeah

yep, it should be the correct motherboard now, so you can install the other motherboard driver updates.

is it okay if i install the same version? for example i download a current motherboard driver but i already have the current driver? would it impact my pc or something because i dont know my audio, sata drivers versions.

yep, that will work. It should not cause any problems if you reinstall the same version.

but..another question this only happens with i try downloading skype...or open it...i uninstalled it if that would work and i try installing it would show me the same error

downloading skype would use your networking driver, using skype would use your audio driver and microphone. it could cause a bugcheck in the asmedia USB driver if your microphone or speakers were connected to a USB device.
But, it is hard to say because the newer motherboards can route the USB subsystem through the PCI/e "bus"
many subsystem that normally would just not hurt each other can have conflicts..

new problem..(well old) still doesn't work when i installed skype today the bsod showed by again...i thought it would work because i heard the sound..but it crashed and when i tried uninstalling it after my boot up it didnt show me skype so i'm confused right now...what happened?

i would have to look at the memory dump file. sometimes drivers do not actually get removed or selected as the current driver when you update them. The memory dump will show the reason the system was shut down.
