I've got the gamesaves you put up in the folder now, will check that out
this weekend. I haven't had the time to play anything this week...but
it's the WeekEnd! Made it thru another one 😉

TR1 Gold is the 4 Unfinished Business levels. There are two Atlantean
levels and two Shadow of the Cat levels. I particularly enjoy the two
Shadow of the Cat levels. That's where the Deadly Sands are we've been
talking about :)
I don't have the TR2 Gold package, I have TR2 and downloaded the 4 Gold
levels.
TR3 broke the tradition of free Gold levels. They retailed Tombraider:
The Lost Artifact, which in essence would be TR3 Gold. TR4 is Last
Revelation. There is ONE special level for that one, called the Times
level, and it's free. Gee, it's just one little level :) it should be.
You seem to be missing The Lost Artifact "TRLA" and Tombraider:
Chronicles.
I think on Stellas site there is a list of all the games. She collects
all things TR I think :)

I don't know if I'd go so far as to call it a "gold" level for TR 4.
It was a special stand-alone level done for the London Times using
the TR 4 engine. Hopefully it's still available on the web somewhere.
If not... well, I hesitate to offer to e-mail it myself, I've just
got a dial-up account and the file is 33 Meg... But I guess I could
be talked into it, if no one with a faster connection will do it. :/

If he needs that one, we can either find it on the web or I'd help, with

Just ducked in again after a two-week absence - RL activities
proliferate and abound of late. More to come ...

Thanks for the "TR4Gold" offer! Luckily, I'm on hi-speed broadband
with unlimited bandwidth, so size is not a problem at this end. But a
giant 33MB file -is- a problem for dial-up, and I don't have an e-mail
account big enough to accept it. So, best 4 U 2 wait till I snoop
around for an alternative way to go get it, and spare you hours of
upload time at your expense.

Ah ... so TR1 Gold is Unfinished Business; apt name, since I never
even started it yet. Played just the TR2 Gold - short and sweet.
Though I don't have "TR4 Gold", I could also Google for it or just
drop a line to Eidos about it later on, or drop in to Stella's site
again and she what she can lead me to. One of the things I never got
around to doing was registering my TR games with Eidos; once I do
that, they just might come up with something from old inventory.

Slipping thru that TR1 Gold fence reminds me of how I discovered that
Lara could flip through the fencing around the artifacts seen in the
secret underground chamber of the Masonic Lodge (or the like), the one
in the Aldwych Level, down the Tube and thru the puzzle doors.

Stand Lara beside a seam in the fence, do a side flip (or try a few
times till it works) and she's suddenly in there facing the giant
revolving squeaky Tiki-Mask, or in among the regal-looking seats at
the back of the chamber - near where she picks up the mace or whatever
it is to access a secret entrance back in the Tube stairwells.

It's also how she picks up a seemingly inaccessible Medi-Pack from
under a spiked roller ... stretching my memory a bit here ... think
that's maybe inside the Fire Element route, one of four such routes
toured in order to collect all four masks for use in the Pillar of
Light Room deep within the Lost City of Tinnos Level.

But I think I may have backflipped Lara a few times to work her way
into about the middle of the roller, till she could stoop down close
enough to make the pickup. Yes, and before the backflips, she stood
facing the wall and sideflipped to squeeze "past" the end of the
roller, then backflipped toward the middle of it a few times - not too
many, or she flips right out of the roller onto the other side of it,
and has to start over again ... just enough flips to make the pickup.
When she makes it, that action ejects her right out of the roller, so
that she again has to sideflip her way past the end of the roller to
the "entrance-side" of it, so that she can leave - and drop down to
the Robotic Fire-Dragons and Invisible Ledges Room - yes, now I recall
that. She has to make it past those Dragons without getting
barbecued, and then run up a ramp to pick up another mask - I think
that's how it goes. Been a while since I played it.

Well, it's pretty late, so I'm off to bed.

BTW, Mr. McG, I noticed the Second Legend Trailer that you posted over
in a.b.lara.croft, thank you kindly. Just finishing setting up for an
all-night DL (two-week backlog, y'know) whilst I sleep, and should see
it tomorrow evening maybe. Finally got around to posting another set
of Lara Croft WP there, too, earlier tonight. That was supposed to be
a weekend set, so I'll likely post a 6th set in a day or two, then
number 7 on the upcoming weekend, time permitting.

Till then, it's quite late, so I'm off to bed. Still lots of work-
related stuff going on here, but hope to drop in again within the
week.

Wishing Well,

Fred

You may also hear of "Shadow of the Cat." That's part of TR UB.

There is no TR 4 Gold, although some of us consider TR Chronicles
(TR 5) to be more like a gold package for TR 4 than a whole different
game. :) The Times Level (also called The Times Expedition) isn't
TR 4 gold either, it's a stand alone level.

Here's the complete list:

Tomb Raider 1 Atlantean Scion
Tomb Raider 1 Gold Unfinished Business and Shadow of The Cat
Tomb Raider 2 Dagger of Xian
Tomb Raider 2 Gold The Golden Mask
Tomb Raider 3 Adventures of Lara Croft
Tomb Raider 3 Gold The Lost Artifact
Tomb Raider 4 The Last Revelation
Tomb Raider 5 Chronicles
Tomb Raider 6 Angel of Darkness
Tomb Raider 7 Legend

The Times Expedition (stand-alone level for the London Times)

And a large collection of user-made levels using the level
editor (which comes with TR 5).
