T568A or T568B Connection Scheme

I am wiring my home home network. I have a Linksys WRT54GS router. I am running CAT6 cable, and terminating at a CAT6 jack. I have a choice of either wiring according to T568A or T568B wiring layouts in the jack.

Does it matter which scheme I choose? Does the router require 1 over the other?

It makes no difference which standard you choose. Both ends of the cable must be wired identically.

There is no difference from the router's point of view.
