Hello Guys, I have an old Lenovo Tab3 8 right now, which becomes super slow on a day to day use. Now I planning to upgrade. Another reason for the upgrade is Lenovo's update service is worst, didn't get any android upgrade in 3 years, still using old android v6.

My general use case
  • Web browsing
  • PDF reading (Research papers, Ebooks)
  • Apps: Slack, Click up, Gdrive, Reddit, Dropbox, etc.
Don't care about
  • Multimedia
  • Gaming
  • Camera
  • LTE support
Budget
  • 300 $ (20000 INR)
Any suggestions guys

Don't blame Lenovo, that is the norm for Android devices.
Android devices tend not to get newer versions of Android available, so they only get security updates for a while.
Although I am not a big apple guy (I switched from IOS to Android last year), Apple does give major IOS updates to devices for a few years after they have been bought.

I agree about the Windows 2 in 1 idea. Microsoft does tend to give updates for longer. For example, a Core 2 Duo laptop from around 2007 with a couple of GB of ram and like 25gb free HDD space that shipped with Windows XP or Vista may have stopped getting updates years ago. However, it can be upgraded to Windows 10 and still receives updates to this day. (it will be slow but usable)

Don't blame Lenovo exclusively - every phone / tablet manufacturer stops supporting old models.

$300 should be enough for a Windows 2-in-1. That way you won't depend on manufacturer for updates but Microsoft.
