I would like to replace my paper notepad with a tablet. Primary function is to capture notes and some sketches. Therefore, the pen/tablet interaction performance is most important. I would like a tablet not to exceed 9-10"

I have experimented with an ipad3 and pens. The writing experience was not satisfying. Can I expect it to be better with the new Ipad pro and pen?

I believe there is no Microsoft Surface in this size range? Other MS devices such as from Dell don't have the touch sensitive screen?

Also, so far I could not find an app that does well in real-time OCR. What apps can do that?

I would personally recommend you get a Windows 10 Tablet PC! Which you can find some here Link: http://www.amazon.com/s/?ie=UTF8&keywords=tablet+pc+windows+10&tag=googhydr-20&index=aps&hvadid=88176692065&hvpos=1t2&hvexid=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=3789113874263106828&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=b&hvdev=c&ref=pd_sl_8zfh2iku3u_b

As for painting applications, I would recommend Paint. net or Krita (They are both free)

If you're looking for a writing program just use Microsoft Office!

What kind of screen do those devises have? Is it a touch sensitive screen like the new Surface or ipad pro?

Does Microsoft office have real time OCR for the pen?
