Tagan

The problem is that if you Google Tagan the only thing you can find are reviews saying its great, nothing about problems even if you search fora. I haven't seen anyone here with problems but I'm not active that long.

You have to remember that when Tom's says "This power supply didn't put out it's full rating", most people don't push their power supplies to the full rated capacity. Most high end PC's draw about 200-250W continuously.

And if Tom's says "This power supply is horribly inefficient", well, most people don't even test efficiency, so of course they wouldn't know.

Tom's has some opinions I find completely disaggreable to the performance enthusiast, but fortunately the stuff you're commenting on is fact (revealed through testing) not opinion. So while I've had my doubts on some articles, I have 100% faith in this one.

I understand they had a faulty supply, I'm not trying to dispute that. I was just hoping to find out if most people's experience of tagan is this bad or if it's a rare occurrence.

You're unlikely to find complaints because most people don't push their power supply anywhere near its limit. Also, most Tagan owners haven't had their long enough to even know if they have a reasonably long life.
