Is it possible to take photos so that close objects located a meter away are as sharp as those located several dozen meters away?
This requires an understanding in "focal length"Is it possible to take photos so that close objects located a meter away are as sharp as those located several dozen meters away?
A macro lens will absolutely not have distant objects in focus, in the same pic with close up objects.Yes, you need a lens with a shorter focal length, usually called a macro lens. Some lenses have variable zoom, but a dedicated macro lens will almost always give better results.
Oh. I misunderstood what the OP was asking, then. The closest thing to what they're asking for would be something like the Lytro cameras that allow you to shift the point of focus after the fact. I guess you could combine two of the shots with Photoshop or whatever to kind of get what they want?A macro lens will absolutely not have distant objects in focus, in the same pic with close up objects.
That's cool, didn't know about these!Split diopter lens attachment.
Also focus stacking post-production.
Alternately, use a camera with the smallest sensor possible, and at the smallest aperture possible, at the widest viewing angle possible. e.g. a phone camera in broad daylight, with ultrawide lens.
