So my PC often crashes during heavy loads (mostly gaming). They are somewhat random in terms of timing and also differ greatly per game. Some games run without any crashes.

I always get the same log in my event viewer after a crash:
A TCG Command has returned an error.
Desc: AuthenticateSession
Param1: 0x1
Param2: 0x60000001C
Param3: 0x900000006
Param4: 0x0
Status: 0x12

After looking up this error it seems that it might be related to my Crucial SSD. I also found several suggestions that I've tried but didn't work:
  • Check AHCI settings
  • Tried to find updated drivers
  • Installed Crucial's software to check the health of the SSD (which is fine)
  • Tried a different PSU

I'm at a loss right now, so suggestions are welcome.

Specs:
GTX 1070
G1.Sniper B5 motherboard
Intel i5-4670 CPU
16gb RAM
700w PSU Coolermaster PSU
Crucial CT120M500SSD1 drive
Seagate ST1000DM003-1CH162 drive

Alright, well that's a start. I figured I would just turn off any encryptions on my drives but when I checked the bitlocker device encryption wasn't even on to begin with. And the other device encryption isn't even supported on my system. So I'm back to 0 :(
