My Defender is sick. Was working great but when I went to turn it on
tonight it would not get past the rug pattern. The Rom board leds are
showing the 2nd and 4th light lit. I have a Arcadeshop switcher power
supply installed. If I turn the game off and back on it still gets
locked up in the rug pattern and the two leds come on. The self
diagnostic buttons do not do anything. Any idea if this is a Rom or
Ram problem??? Thanks

Probably simple, check the power connections to the rom and cpu, maybe
wiggle them around a bit. If that does nothing then do the same with
the ribbon cable between the rom and cpu and see if it makes the rug
pattern change any. Mine will do this just from a lose power connection
but a bad ribbon cable can also cause this.

I have played with the connections with no affect. What does this
error code point to? Thanks

don't see any specific error code that describes your issue though... either
it's a HW fault or a bad rom... did you try reflowing the connectors?
