I've been looking to buy a telephoto lens I can use on more than one
camera. I currently own two cameras which have a 58mm thread. I also have a
wide angle lens with a 58mm thread and I use it with both cameras. What I
want now is a telephoto lens I can swap between the cameras I own.
Specifically, I've been looking at the Canon TCDC58N.

...I hope that link works.

Am I correct in assuming the "58" in the TCDC58N is in reference to the
lens having a 58mm thread? I don't own a Canon G3, G5, or G6, so I have no
use for the conversion lens adapter LA-DC58B.

Any thoughts, comments, advice, or suggestions? They will be greatly
appreciated. They will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Yes, the threads are 58mm and the conversion lens adapter is like a
tube (with bayonette mount) the you screw the conversion lens onto.

It can work, but depending on which cameras you intend to use them on
you could experience the usual image quality issues (as well as the
loss of light-problem).

If it's the Casio EX-P600 (perhaps the new EX-P700 will work as
well); "the trim of the lens barrel can be unscrewed from the body
and allows mounting Canon brand teleconverters (TC-DC58; WC-DC58N, or
Close-up lens 250D with lens adapter LU-60A)." - megapixel.net
