Temperature bothering me

Hi guys so i just built a pc and i have a problem with its temps the cpu is reaching around 80-85c when gaming and the gpu hits 80c also when gaming is this normal
specs:
i5 3470
12gb ram
gtx 960 (factory oc)
500w x strike psu
(using intel stock fan)

thats the high end of normal, probably what you can expect with a stock cooler and stock thermal paste.

If you can i would suggest looking at swapping it out to improve performance and longevity of the CPU

Ow okay ill try to buy a new heatsink fan for my cpu thanks

I think the GPU hitting 80 is normal, but I would do something about the CPU hitting 80.

Something you can try right off the bat is....run with the case open and see what that gets you. If it gets you anything significant I would look at improving the case ventilation.

I would also check that the cooler is snug. You should be able to apply reasonable pressure and it should not move....not at all.....not wiggle or anything.

If after tending to these two things, you still have an issue....I would reapply the paste and look to see if I could increase the fan curve in the BIOS.

Already tried reapplying thermal paste and the stock fan is fine but still the same i think i really need a new cooler
