terrible frame rate with a gtx 770

just did a fps test on csgo 1080p settings on low no vsync or motion blur: average fps 97

so yeah that doesnt make sence :?

You're CPU bottlenecking you're 770 a lot its time to upgrade or you will rum inti this alot

psu 650 platinum, yeah latest drivers. cpu temp under 60 gpu 55. test before did show gpu usage going no higher then 50% changed setting in nvidea to performance not adaptive but to no luck :/ all i can think of is cpu bottle neck

Yeah, a CPU bottleneck would seem to be a very likely reason for this.

Try adjusting the launch options by setting the number of cores/thread to 4: http://csgohelp.com/launch-options/

For example, you can specify a window height and a width you want the game to start with. Every new launch option starts with a dash, but you can also put console commands in the launch options. Q: Where can I set these launch options?
A: That’s rather easy. Take a look at the picture and just follow step by step:
launchoptions1. Right-click Counter-Strike: Global Offensive in your game library in the main Steam window

3. A new window will open. Click on the “SET LAUNCH OPTIONS” button
4. Another new window will open. In this one, you can set the different launch options. Every new launch option starts with a dash or a plus, DO NOT separate the launch options with a comma or a semicolon, just a space needs to go in between the different launch options.

-threads <number of cores/threads>
So far, I was not able to find a definitive information about the maximum number of threads that CS:GO uses and if this launchoption makes any sense. If you have a CPU with 4 or more cores, you can try to set -threads to the number of cores (or number of threads if you own a CPU with 2 threads/core) you have, but right now I can not guarantee that your performance will improve. Test it, if you don't notice any difference or your performance is actually worse, remove the launchoption again.

Yeah im having a similar issue.. i get barely 120 fps on lowest settings on a server with occasional fps drops to 70 fps

and the most ridiculous part is that before my 770 i had a GTX 260 and i was getting around 100 really stable!!! wtf is going on!??!! I have tried everything.. the only good fps i get is around 300 on an empty server. What's going on? could our gpus be faulty?? :/// ive noticed that a few other people have this issue with low fps on a GTX 770 (google cs go gtx 770) but some are completely fine if you check some youtube fps tests, they get easily above 250 stable on low settings.

i know my cpu is 2 core but could this really be the issue?? ://////
