Hello all,
About twenty-five years ago, a friend and I ran the Battle
of All Alignments. We took all of the monsters out of the Monster
Manual, organized them by alignment and hit die, and had them engage in
arena combat until only one alignment was left. It was a lot of fun,
and it gave us a chance to use a lot of monsters that we would not have
used otherwise.
The reason I am mentioning this is that my friend went to a
lot of trouble to put together the Battle of All Alignments again. This
time he is using 3.5 rules and most of the monsters from most of the
WoTC books. They are organized by challenge rating, and the Battle is
run online.
He is acting as moderator, but he would like to give others
the chance to decide on the tactics of the monsters. I am signed up,
and my mongrelman had some difficulty with a very determined rat before
being killed by a giant fire beetle. Now I have a warforged scout
having trouble with the fire beetle.
If you are interested, take a look at his message board at
ENWorld and please sign up. There are still some monsters open to be
signed up for.
The address is http://www.enworld.org/forumdisplay.php?f=217 and the
subject is The Battle of All Alignments
Thank you for considering this.
