[citation][nom]stravis[/nom]3- Don't be a douche on the phone.
The customer doesn't care that you are trying to slip the meat to your wife by first liquoring her up. [/citation]
LMAO. Awesome. 😀

[citation][nom]tayb[/nom]Is this a goddamn hardware site or is this fucking TMZ?? Seriously. This is not front page news worthy for a hardware site. Between crap like this being posted not once but THREE TIMES, inaccurate reporting, and massive spelling/grammar issues this site has gone down from a first rate hardware site to a third rate gossip site. Truly pathetic. At least you guys manage to pull your act together when you write hardware reviews because you certainly fail absolutely 100% miserably at writing tech news.[/citation]

Get lost dude. You're a moron just like that dude David Free.

[citation][nom]superblahman123[/nom]Say Tuan.... revealing his name doesn't violate any privacy policies does it?....[/citation]

That dude made himself apparent that he was Free. He killed his name privacy on his own.

I do enjoy how under the picture oh the macpadd homepage, it says, "(Mouse & IPod not included)" Does that mean the iPod dock and keyboard are included!? 😵 You better check your invoice to make sure you're getting those Tuan! lol

for a small fee I may or may not ship you an ebola resistant tritanium mousepad that is actually made of the fabric of space/time and only works with MACs. I sent one to Stephen Hawking, but the tracking number was lost in a black hole. Luckily, he understood.

He banned me from his Live Journal blog and deleted my comments. I didn't even get a chance to post my last one. I spent a good amount of time crafting it so I figured I would at least post it here.

ME:

You are so boned. You haven't provided one piece of evidence to support your claims. The sooner you admin your wrong, the sooner this will all be over.

D FREE:

so you are admitting you are harassing on behalf of someone?

ME:

Oh please. I'm not harassing you, and I'm posting under my own accord. This is Live Journal after all, a BLOG. You post your thoughts with the intent of people replying.

You need to get down off your high horse and just admit you screwed up. I realize that it looks bleak looking up from that deep dark hole you are in right now, but unless you man up and take responsibility for your actions you will only dig deeper. Be a man about this for God's sake.

D FREE:

There has been no screw up. Tuan not only has a MacPadd in the mail PLUS he has been refunded.

I dare you to find any other company that gives refunds and lets you keep the product top.

ME:

I'm not going to debate the points of this increasingly dramatic episode you seem to be having.

I have read the posts on Toms Hardware, and I have read your site and blog. I even read it before you removed some of your entries.

It is obvious to anyone of even mediocre intelligence that you have gaping holes in your argument and story.

Why not just save what little bit of dignity you have left and come clean, or at least stop fanning the flames?

I can tell though that my suggestions will only fall on deaf ears. So I will take leave of you the same way I came in, with popcorn in my lap waiting to see the next move.

God speed, and good luck with your plight.

I got banned from his blog. All I asked was does any of his 8,000 happy customers have one these pieces of s**t.

I dunno dog must have ate it!!

Ohhh getting ripped off like this does get ones blood boiling. At least its a cheaper product... (I got burned for like $1400 a long time ago but before Paypal started doing its insurance type deal so I was completely out the cash)

Lessons I learned from my deal.

1. Never deal with Paypal since to me they seemed like part of the problem. (they did not return emails or anything) I since have gotten over this one and have used them once or twice. I still avoid them.

2. Only deal with companies that have a great reputation, if there is even a hint of a scam I will order the product from another site.

3. Check up on places that you order from before you order from them. Usually a quick google search of " problem or complaint" works great.

Weird it took out the html code of my post (I guess it was html) lol Was supposed to read "Company name here problem or complaint" but I had brackets on the company name part....

Anyway on the topic people this company is painfully in the Do Not Touch category.

Let's not harass him on his blog. He knows what he did wrong. And this article will likely be enough to sink him.

I just googled macpadd and came across this review

I found it interesting that the video review has been removed by the person who made it. More interesting are the comments below where the video was suppose to be.

harass him as much as you can. Douchebags like this deserve to go under. He should be working at mcdonalds....or whatever the asshat canadian equivalent is....tim hortons?

[citation][nom]doomtomb[/nom]The guy's a prick. I checked out the website and it makes all these claims about being green and being anti-bacterial for hospital use and all of this. It's a sheet of aluminum market as a mouse pad. Basically the claims are lame and false. It appears as though he is trying to follow a trend with his claims to being a "green" business. He also infringes on Apple copyright numerous times with the use of their logo and their slogan.[/citation]

I wanted to post on his blog but I dont have a livejournal account nor do I want to create one.
Anyways this message goes for Mr. Free, what type of manufacturing process do you use (e.g. cold rolling, hot extrusion, drawing, etc...)? I'm assuming you just followed in Apple's foot steps with their all aluminum body and being more "green"...any ways was just wondering.

[citation][nom]Renegade_Warrior[/nom]OMG!Minimal waste and Green! Using Aluminum, recycled aluminum at that is nowhere near being green as an aluminum refinery literally uses an entire power plant all by itself just to melt the aluminum so it can be used. Now that is one hell of a carbon foot print!Using existing transportation infrastructure doesn't reduce the carbon foot print either.Looks like FREE really likes to play with Words and put a spin on everything.[/citation]

I'm not sure what you're getting at, re-manufacturing from recycled Aluminum uses 95% less energy (at least for cans) than mining and manufacturing from virgin aluminum...

it appears that Free is a sole proprietor that came up with a marketing scheme and a product before he had the ability to meet the growing needs of his successful product (rather marketing scheme) offers. Clearly the issue here is that he lied saying he shipped the product, then lie after lie after lie to protect hist first statement. Bad move when a quality reviewer like Tuan is on the case.

I applaud Tuan, for his professional manner and hopefully when it is all said an done.... Free has learned a valuable lesson in lying to his customers (even once) can snow ball into the end of a otherwise successful journey.

While entertaining, it seems very unprofessional to use a hardware news site to aggressively attack a vendor. Should have reported him and then leave it be.
